The carton can change the booking
An airfreight plan can become inaccurate while the product itself stays unchanged. A factory may add protective outer packaging, combine cartons or place the goods on a pallet. fulfillmentyx asks sellers to base the transport review on the load that will actually be handed over.
That means recording finished dimensions, gross weight, piece count and product attributes after preparation. A quotation prepared from an early product sample should be revisited if the shipping configuration changes.
Acceptance and warehouse readiness are separate
Warehouse preparation confirms that the agreed goods and documents are ready for release. Air cargo acceptance also depends on the carrier, route and product category. Battery-powered goods and other regulated items require an appropriate review before stock is moved into a shipping lane.
The handover record should identify who supplies product information, who approves the packing arrangement and which party confirms the route. A booking reference alone should not be used as proof that physical cargo has been accepted.
Give updates to the person controlling release
If an inspection holds a carton or a supplier delivers fewer pieces, the cargo record and booking need to be reconciled before dispatch. The release instruction should state whether a partial load may travel and how the remaining goods will be handled.
The air parcel and freight workflow can be discussed with the team using the completed cargo profile. Dates should distinguish warehouse release, carrier acceptance and the estimated onward movement, rather than compressing all three into one shipping date.
