A separate brief for cargo outside parcel limits
A furniture crate can occupy little floor space yet require a particular lifting arrangement. Machinery may have an uneven center of gravity or components that cannot bear a securing strap. fulfillmentyx has added dedicated service information for project and oversized cargo so those details can be reviewed before booking.
The service scope includes cargo-profile assessment, protective packing coordination, handling preparation and onward transport planning. Acceptance is determined by the actual packed load, available equipment and chosen route.
Measurements need to describe the finished load
The booking record should show the dimensions and weight after crating, including the pallet base and any protruding parts. Photographs can identify lifting points, exposed surfaces and access restrictions that a dimensions-only quotation would miss.
A useful handling brief also states whether the cargo can be stacked, tilted or lifted from particular sides. Any change made at the factory after review should be reported before the shipment leaves.
Release depends on a workable handover
Warehouse receiving, vehicle access, loading equipment and destination unloading need to form one workable plan. A forklift at origin does not establish that suitable equipment will be available at the receiving address.
The new project and oversized cargo service page sets out the information for an initial assessment. Ocean, air and hybrid options can be considered where suitable; the page does not attach a fixed transit time or a universal price to oversized work.
