A small product can require a different shipping review
A rechargeable device may fit inside an ordinary parcel carton, but its battery can change how the shipment needs to be assessed. fulfillmentyx asks sellers to disclose battery-powered products before agreeing a parcel lane or sending stock for dispatch.
IATA’s battery resources describe transport requirements that depend on the battery and shipping configuration. Carrier acceptance also needs confirmation for the proposed route. A previous shipment is not sufficient evidence that an altered product can use the same service.
Provide the configuration, not just the product name
The initial review should identify the battery type, relevant ratings, quantity and whether batteries are installed, packed with equipment or shipped separately. The responsible technical party should supply the supporting information requested for the shipment.
Warehouse inspection can compare visible model details and packing instructions with the approved brief. It does not replace technical testing or establish that a product meets every dangerous-goods requirement.
Keep changes under review
A supplier substitution, a larger battery or a revised retail pack can change the information on which the route was selected. Those changes should reach the transport team before a release instruction is issued.
Sellers can discuss the product through the air parcel service page. The working outcome is an eligible, documented shipping arrangement for the actual product and destination, or a clear decision to hold the goods while an unresolved acceptance question is checked.
